How do I register for a class?
Register on the Mayer-Johnson website, under the Training Tab and Web Classes. To the right of each posted class is a “sign up” link. Click on this link to register. You will be presented with a listing of all currently scheduled classes. Find the class/time you are interested in attending and select either the name of the class or the word “register” on the right. You will see a more in depth description of the class and can register by entering your first name, last name and email address. Then select “register.”

How do I log on for the class I’ve registered for?
On the day of the class, within 20 minutes of the class start time you will want to join your class. Give yourself enough time to feel comfortable logging on!


1. Click on the following link (or type this address in your web browser): https://dynavoxtech.webex.com. *Please note that there is no "www" in this address.

2. Click on the tab labeled "Today" about half-way down the page. You will see the name of the all the sessions offered on this day. Find the name of the session for which you have registered and click "Join Now" at the far right side of the screen.

3. Enter your registration ID and the session password. You will find these two numbers in your registration and confirmation e-mails. If your registration ID is not available, you will be able to follow a link to have the information e-mailed to you again. Please note that the registration ID is not the same as the session number.

4. Click "OK" and wait for the Training Manager web page to appear. Please click "set up" to begin this process. You may be asked set up the Training Manager even if you have done so before. This is perfectly normal.

5. When the Training Manager web page appears, a prompt will appear to provide you with the phone numbers necessary to join the teleconference. Please call the appropriate number and follow the voice prompts. If you joined the teleconference before signing in on the computer, you can ignore the prompt.

6. You should now be ready for your Virtual Classroom session. Enjoy!


Do I need a telephone?
Yes! A telephone will allow you to listen to the instructor’s comments during the class. Sign in at the time of your class (as instructed above) and a prompt will appear on the screen that provides you with the phone numbers necessary to join the teleconference.

What computer requirements are necessary?
Windows Requirements
Operation System: Microsoft Windows 95, 98, ME, XP, NT, or 2000
Processor: Intel Pentium 166 MHz
Memory: 128 MB
Browser: Internet Explorer 5.x or later (with Active X Enabled) Netscape Communicator 4.7 or 7; Mozilla 1.4 or later; Firefox 1.0.x; JavaScript and Cookies Enabled on the Web browser
Internet Connection: 56K or faster
Additional telephone or cellular phone, while connected to the internet, for participation on the conference call.


Will I receive CEUs for this class?
While we can’t provide you with CEUs for the currently posted classes, we are more than happy to provide you with a certificate of attendance. If you would like one please email training@mayer-johnson.com , following your class, to make this request.

When I log on, “join” isn't showing next to the class I registered for?
The word “join” won’t appear next to the class you registered for until 20 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.

When/how do I get handouts for the class?
For many classes there will be handouts available during the registration process for you to download. After you register by entering your name and email address, on the next screen it will list “Course Material” followed by the name of the handout(s).
Sometimes, the instructor does not post the handouts prior to the class. In this case she will make the handout available for download following the class.

Do I need to have access to my copy of Boardmaker during the class?
No. The instructor will be demonstrating on Boardmaker but you do not need your own copy running during the class!

How do I get help the day of the class if things don’t seem to be working right?
20 minutes prior to the class start time, you can call 1-866-485-4600, participant code 4548#. Someone will be available to assist you. If you are having difficulty prior to that, you can email training@mayer-johnson.com with any questions.

Are there any other training options besides web classes?
Yes Mayer-Johnson offers a range of training options called Training On Demand. I missed the scheduled Web Class. What can I do?
We are now recording most of our Web Classes. We call them Recorded Sessions and we advise reading these instructions before moving on to the recordings. You will be asked to install your WebEx Player if you haven't already and give you a guide to help making navigating the WebEx Archives easy.
